'The Incredible Hulk (Three-Disc Special Edition)'
While not as exhaustively detailed as the "Iron Man" DVD extras, the three-disc version of "The Incredible Hulk" does continue Marvel's practice of opening wide the doors to the making of its new line of superhero films.
DVD Bonus Features:
The Good: The feature commentary alone is worth the price of admission: Director Louis Leterrier and star Tim Roth give an enthusiastic and in-depth look at how the film came to be. The making-of documentaries provide a good look at how to make a movie when your leading man spends half his time as a mute CGI creation.
The Bad: For three discs, there's not a lot of there there. The third disc is just a digital copy of the movie (meaning you can install it on a computer and replay it later without the DVD). Unlike the "Iron Man" DVD, there's no attempt to fill in the Hulk's comic-book origins for newcomers to the story. And for a movie so focused on the Bill Bixby television version, a featurette about the series would've been nice.
The Price: $34.98
