The popular Disney Channel show recently yielded this feature-length spinoff, with Alex ( Selena Gomez) and her family heading for the Caribbean. The tale ultimately takes an 'It’s a Wonderful Life' turn, as a frustrated Alex’s wish that her parents never had met becomes fact, prompting an adventure to set things straight.

David Henrie, Jake T. Austin and Jennifer Stone are among the other stars of the series version who continue their roles here. *** (Not rated)
