Now both of the "Supernatural" boys have lined up horror remakes for their summer vacations.

Just weeks after Jared Padalecki signed on to topline "Friday the 13th," Jensen Ackles is now in final negotiations to star in Lionsgate's "My Bloody Valentine 3-D."

Patrick Lussier is directing the remake of the 1981 slasher favorite, which was one of several films of its period focusing on serial killers run amuck at various holiday seasons.

Ackles plays a young man who returns to his Montana home right around the 10th anniversary of a famous Valentine's massacre. That's bad timing. Want worse timing? Just as he rekindles affections with his high school flame (Jaime King), the killings start again and he becomes a prime suspect.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project will begin shooting on May 12, with a Jan. 23, 2009 release date already on the books.

You can currently catch Ackles on the small screen as Dean Winchester on The CW's "Supernatural." His other TV credits include "Days of Our Lives," "Dark Angel," "Dawson's Creek" and "Smallville."
