'The Godfather' and 'The Wizard of Oz' also lead categories

On Tuesday (June 17) night, the AFI unveiled 10 new Top 10 lists in an assortment of specific genres, honoring a slew of films the group had already honored repeatedly in its myriad Top 100 lists.

CBS aired AFI's 10 Top 10 as a three-hour special that saw top slots go to "Snow White" (animation), "City Lights" (romantic comedies), "The Searchers" (western), "Raging Bull" (sports), "Vertigo" (mystery), "The Wizard of Oz" (fantasy), "2001" (sci-fi), "The Godfather" (gangster), "To Kill a Mockingbird" (courtroom dramas) and "Lawrence of Arabia" (epic).

Interestingly, "Citizen Kane," the group's inevitable and repeated overall No. 1 movie was unable to find any list to call a home.
