Anne Hathaway Drawn to 'Opposite of Love'
Project is based on the best seller by Julie Buxbaum
The actress has signed on to star in Fox's "The Opposite of Love," based on the novel by Julie Buxbaum, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The story, which will be adapted by Kara Holden, centers on law grad Emily (Hathaway) who breaks it off with her doctor boyfriend who is ready for marriage. From that point, her life spirals out of control: she has issues with the litigation work she does for a big law firm, with her chilly father and with her worries for her beloved Grandpa jack, whose health is declining rapidly.
Hathaway is best known for her "Princess Diaries," "The Devil Wears Prada" and more recently, "Get Smart." She plays a recovering addict in "Rachel Getting Married," which opens in limited release on Friday, Oct. 3.
