Ashton Kutcher to Be a 'Father'
Actor will star in and produce the project
The actor/producer will star in and produce the Columbia Pictures comedy "Like Father."
Variety reports that "You Can Count on Me" director Kenneth Longeran will rewrite the project, which follows the rocky relationship between a father and son who both coincidentally have baby sons at the same time and thus must bond over the shared fatherhood experience.
Kutcher and Jason Goldberg's Katalyst Films, based out of Sony, will produce. Katalyst also has a romantic comedy about a matchmaker florist in the works at the studio.
Kutcher last starred in "What Happens in Vegas." His upcoming credits include the drama "Personal Effects" alongside Michelle Pfeiffer and an indie comedy, "Spread," due in 2009.
