What kind of movie could bring together the collective talents of Emilie De Ravin, Nick Cannon and Ludacris?

How about the indie ensemble "Ball Don't Lie," which features Grayson T. Boucher in the lead role as a basketball prodigy dealing with life's hard knocks.

According to Variety, Brin Hall is directing from a script he wrote with Matt de la Pena based on de la Pena's novel of the same name.

The film's cast features a bevy of familiar faces including De Ravin's former "Lost" co-star Harold Perrineau, Rosanna Arquette ("What About Brian"), Ricardo Chavira ("Desperate Housewives"), Steve Harris ("The Practice"), James Pickens Jr. ("Grey's Anatomy"), Dania Ramirez ("The Sopranos"), Matthew St. Patrick ("Six Feet Under"), Mykelti Williamson ("Forest Gump"), Robert Wisdom ("The Wire"), Evan Parke ("King Kong") and Cress Williams ("Close to Home").

Claire on ABC's "Lost," De Ravin's feature credits include "The Hills Have Eyes" and "Brick."

Last seen in "Bobby" and heard in "Monster House," Cannon has "Goal II: Living the Dream," "Day of the Dead" and "American Son" on tap.

Chris "Ludacris" Bridges has appeared in multiple episodes of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," as well as "Hustle & Flow," "Crash" and the upcoming "Fred Claus."
