Josh Lucas and Lukas Haas will star along with Adam Brody

Taking one of his first major roles since the end of "The O.C.," Adam Brody has signed on for a lead in Boaz Yakin's "Death in Love."

In addition to previously announced cast members Jacqueline Bisset and Lukas Haas, the indie drama will also now feature Josh Lucas.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Yakin script focuses on a pair of brothers (Lucas and Haas). Haas' character spends most of his time dealing with their mother (Bisset), while Lucas' character finds new direction when he befriends a scam artist (Brody).

In addition to writing and directing, Yakin ("Fresh") is also producing along with Joseph Zolfo. Shooting has already begun in New York City.

Brody spent four seasons as Seth Cohen on FOX's "The O.C.," finding time to shoot features including "In the Land of Women," "The Ten" and "Thank You for Smoking."

Lucas was most recently seen in "Glory Road" and "Poseidon."
