Beauty is reportedly only skin deep, but musician-actor Chris Brown is about to go "Bone Deep."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brown is in final negotiations to co-star in the Screen Gems thriller from director John Lussenhop.

The heist drama also features Matt Dillon, T.I. and Idris Elba. "Bone Deep" focuses on both the criminals ripping off a money depot and the cops on their train and Brown would play a part of the heist crew, the trade says.

Brown, a Grammy nominee and winner of Teen Choice and Billboard prizes, made his feature film debut in "Stomp the Yard" and then appeared in last fall's hit "This Christmas." Both films also came from Screen Gems.

Other credits for Brown include a guest run on FOX's "The O.C."
