Cate Blanchett Pregnant With Third Child
Actress already has two boys
Cate Blanchett may play the childless Queen Elizabeth I on the big screen, but in real life she's going to be a mother for the third time.The Australian actress confirmed at the Sydney premiere of "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" that she was pregnant with her third child, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
When Blanchett was informed of rumors that she was having another boy, she reportedly responded, "You know more than me. It's early days yet. It's due in April."
Blanchett and her playwright-screenwriter husband Andrew Upton have two sons: Dashiell John, 5, and Roman Robert, 3. The couple met while she was performing in a production of "The Seagull" and were married a year later in December 1997.
Blanchett, 38, was nominated for her turns in "Notes on a Scandal" and "Elizabeth" and won for her supporting role in "The Aviator," in which she played Katharine Hepburn. She currently stars in "The Golden Age," will appear as one of the incarnations of Bob Dylan in the upcoming "I'm Not There" and has been filming roles for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."
