Cher, Johnny Knoxville Embrace 'The Drop-Out'
Slacker comedy brings together Oscar winner, 'Jackass' star
The two will pair up for the upcoming comedy "The Drop-Out," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The story is Apatow-esque: A college drop-out (Knoxville) moves in with his next-door neighbor (Cher) in lieu of growing up. Ricky Blitt ("The Ringer") wrote and will direct.
Cher, 62, took home the Oscar for best actress thanks to her work in 1987's "Moonstruck." Knoxville, 37, can be seen this year in the Mickey Rourke action film "Killshot."
