Oliver Stone has cast James Cromwell and Ellen Burstyn in his biopic of Pres. George W. Bush.

Variety is now calling the project, which Stone co-wrote with Stanley Weiser, "W." The trade says that Cromwell and Burstyn will play George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush, former President and First Lady and parents to Josh Brolin's George Junior.

It was announced yesterday that Elizabeth Banks will play current First Lady Laura Bush.

Production on "W" will begin next month in Louisiana with Stone hoping to have the film in theaters before the end Bush the Younger leaves office in January.

A six-time Oscar nominee and winner for "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore," Burstyn was recently seen in the Mitch Albom-based telefilm "For One More Day" and features like "The Fountain" and "The Wicker Man."

Cromwell earned an Oscar nomination for "Babe" and played Prince Philip in the Oscar-winning "The Queen." You probably last saw him in last year's "Spider-Man 3" and "Becoming Jane" or as Jack Bauer's nefarious dad on "24."
