'Dawn Treader' Sets Sail in December
Return to winter may better fit third 'Narnia' film
Aslan must love the cold.The supernatural lion and his wards will return to the big screen in "The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader" on Dec. 10, 2010, according to Variety. The mag notes that the series' first film pulled in almost $300 million during its December bow, but the second film's May release only snagged half that.
The film franchise was abandoned by Disney but picked up by Fox 2000 late in January.
C.S. Lewis' original novel follows Lucy and Edmund Pevensie and Prince Caspian, plus the Pevensies' annoying cousin Eustace, as they sail the Dawn Treader searching for the seven lost lords of Narnia.
