Actor already has a teenage son
"The Parent Trap" actor and his wife Kimberly became the proud parents of twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace on Thursday morning in Santa Monica, Calif., reports People. The parents used a "gestational carrier," a woman who carries a couple's biological offspring.
"God has definitely blessed us," say the Quaids in a statement.
Little Thomas was born at 8:26 a.m. and weighed 6 lb. 12 oz., while his younger sister by two minutes weighed 5 lb. 9 oz.
Quaid, 53, married Kimberly nee Buffington, 35, on Independence Day 2004 in Montana. Quaid first met Buffington, a real estate agent, while performing with his band, The Sharks, in Austin, Texas in March 2003.
Quaid has been married twice before, first to P.J. Soles from 1978 to 1983 and then to Meg Ryan for 11 years beginning in 1991, with whom he has his 17-year-old son, Jack.
The actor's recent films include "The Day After Tomorrow," "In Good Company," "Flight of the Phoenix," "Yours, Mine and Ours" and "American Dreamz." He can be seen next in "The Horseman," "Vantage Point" and "The Express."
