Dinklage Plots Against 'Underdog'
The 'Station Agent' star will menace an animated dog
Set to begin production in early April, "Underdog" is a feature version of the '60s cartoon, which focused on shoe shine dog who would moonlight as the supercanine Underdog to rescue Sweet Polly Purebred. Thus far, Dinklage's villainous character is the only one cast.
"Underdog" will be produced through Spyglass Entertainment with "Racing Stripes" veteran Frederik Du Chau helming, according to the industry trades.
A double Screen Actors Guild nominee for "The Station Agent," Dinklage's other credits include "Elf" and "Living in Oblivion." Most people last saw Dinklage in the short-lived CBS drama "Threshold," though if anybody had seen "Find Me Guilty," the actor appeared opposite Vin Diesel in that legal dramedy.
