Hilary Duff is set to join the already-eclectic cast of the Polish Brothers' comedy "Stay Cool."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Winona Ryder, Mark Polish, Sean Astin, Chevy Chase and Jon Cryer will star in the film, set to shoot in July.

Written by Mark Polish and Michael Polish, the comedy focuses on a successful author Mark Polish) who returns to his hometown to deliver a graduation address at his high school and has to confront his high school crush (Ryder).

The trade says that Duff will play a high school senior who flirts with the author and invites him to prom.

Michael Polish is directing.

Veteran of four relatively successful albums and tween fame courtesy of the "Lizzie McGuire" franchise, Duff can currently be seen in the dark comedy "War, Inc." Her upcoming features include "Safety Glass" and "Greta." She's also expected to return to the studio later this summer to start work on a new album.
