Gosling, Dunst Enjoy 'Good Things'
'Capturing the Friedmans' director will helm
Described in Variety as a "period love story/ murder mystery," the film will mark the narrative directing debut of Andrew Jarecki ("Capturing the Friedmans").
Set in the '80s, the screenplay by Jarecki, Marc Smerling and Marcus Hinchey focuses on a New York real estate heir (Gosling) who falls for a girl (Dunst) from the wrong side of the tracks. When she disappears, a vast conspiracy unravels and folks start turning up dead.
Production will begin in April with Michael London's Groundswell Prods. producing.
Gosling earned SAG and Golden Globe for his performance in "Lars and the Real Girl" following his Oscar nomination last year for "Half Nelson."
Dunst, last seen in "Spider-Man 3," has a role in the upcoming "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People." Her directing debut, the short "Welcome," is playing at Sundance.
