Stefani Buys J.Lo's Beverly Hills Digs
Baby Kingston will be the new kid on the block
It's her life, and singer Gwen Stefani wants to live it in Jennifer Lopez's old home. The No Doubt singer and her husband, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, have bought a Beverly Hills house that once belonged to the "Gigli" star for almost $15.5 million, reports the Wall Street Journal.
There won't be any residual J.Lo traces around though since the house actually first passed through the hands of film producer and businessman Sam Nazarian, who originally purchased the house from Lopez in 2004.
The 10,000-square foot home will have plenty of room for the musical couple to raise their family, beginning with 3-month-old son Kingston James. The place boasts four bedrooms, tennis and basketball courts, a swimming pool and a screening room over two acres of property.
It's also made for the privacy needs of today's celebrity since it's in a gated community and sits at the end of a 250-foot driveway with an additional gate for entry.
Stefani, 36, met Bush frontman Rossdale, 40, at a 1996 concert she was playing with No Doubt. They were married in 2002. Stefani is also the stepmother to Daisy, a 16-year-old daughter whom Rossdale recently discovered he fathered in an earlier relationship.
Stefani previously dated her bandmate Tony Kanal for several years and many of the songs on their hit album "Tragic Kingdom" is dedicated to their breakup. She was nominated for five Grammys for her solo album, "Love.Angel.Music.Baby.," including album of the year. She also appeared as screen legend Jean Harlow in Martin Scorsese's Howard Hughes biopic "The Aviator" in 2004.
Like his wife, Rossdale has had a successful music career and has also appeared on the big screen in the soccer film "The Game of Their Lives" and as a demon in "Constantine."
