'Inglourious Basterds' invade Cannes
Quentin Tarantino's latest invited to film festival
Quentin Tarantino's World War II flick "Inglourious Basterds" has been invited to play at the Cannes Film Festival, according to Variety. The movie follows a group of Jewish-American soldiers led by Brad Pitt whose brutal tactics are designed to spread fear behind enemy lines.
If Tarantino accepts, as rumored, that would make Cannes the film's world premiere.
In 1994, Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction" won Cannes' coveted Palme d'Or award.
