Jamie Foxx Arrested by 'Citizen'
Oscar-winning actor will play a man bent on revenge opposite Gerard Butler
The Oscar winner is in final negotiations to star opposite Gerard Butler in the thriller "Law Abiding Citizen," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In the movie, a man (Foxx) is angered when he learns that a plea bargain has allowed one of his wife and daughter's murderers to go free. He gets bitten by the vigilante bug and targets his rage at the killers and those who made the deal, including the assistant D.A. (Butler).
Frank Darabont will direct ro the Film Department and wrote the screenplay with Kurt Wimmer.
Butler and partner Alan Siegel are producing under the Evil Twin banner, along with Warp Films' Lucas Foster and Film Department's Mark Gill. Film Department's Robert Katz and Neil Sacker will executive produce.
Foxx, 40, next stars as a homeless violinist opposite Robert Downey Jr. in "The Soloist," due in theaters in November.
