'Lost' Lass Lands Thriller Role
Malkovich and Duris will also star in 'Afterwards'
In addition to Lilly, John Malkovich and Romain Duris ("The Beat That My Heart Skipped") will appear in the film, set to begin shooting in early June in New York and Montreal, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
French director Gilles Bourdos will direct from a script he wrote with Michel Spinosa.
Based on the novel by Guillaume Musso, "Afterwards" focuses on a lawyer (Duris), who becomes estranged from his ex-wife (Lilly) and child. When he meets a doctor (Malkovich) with the ability to predict people's deaths, things change.
Christal Films Prods. is financing "Afterwards" and eying a 2008 Canadian release.
This would be the first major feature role for Lilly, currently in her third season playing Kate on "Lost."
Malkovich was most recently seen in "Colour Me Kubrick," "Eragon" and "Art School Confidential," with roles in "Beowulf" and "The Great Buck Howard" on tap.
