Actress pursued other vehicle to police headquarters

Lindsay Lohan's troubles keep piling up.

The actress was named in a lawsuit Tuesday, Aug. 14, by a woman who was a passenger in the car she was allegedly chasing while she was driving drunk in July, reports TMZ.com.

According to the suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Tracie Rice was a passenger in the car driven by Michelle Peck, the mother of Lohan's former assistant. During the night in question, Lohan was at a Malibu party when she commandeered an SUV with passengers still in it to chase Peck and Rice. Rice says she "was convinced that their lives were in danger and that they had to outrun the pursuing car or they might be killed."

Lohan allegedly pursued them in a threatening manner, increasing her speed correspondingly, and eventually following them through a barrier into the parking lot of the Santa Monica Police Department, where officers "approached all of them with guns drawn." It wasn't until Lohan got out of the vehicle did Rice and the police realize the driver's identity.

The actress is being sued for an undisclosed amount for assault, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

A date for the hearing has yet to be scheduled.

Lohan, 21, was arrested last month for her second DUI. Police later found a small amount of cocaine in her pocket. Three men later came forward, claiming that their car was commandeered by the actress, making them unwilling passengers while she drove recklessly.
