Lindsay Lohan Busted for DUI, Cocaine Again
Actress was also driving with a suspended license
Not only was the "Mean Girls" star arrested yet again on suspicion of DUI, but TMZ.com is also reporting that cocaine was found on her person when she was taken into custody on Tuesday morning, July 24.
According to the celebrity site, the 21-year-old was nabbed around 2:15 a.m. when a call came in that a vehicle, a white Denali driven by Lohan, was chasing another vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade, near Pico Boulevard and Main Street.
At the time, the actress refused to take a Breathalyzer test at the scene, but submitted to a walk-the-line test, which she failed. Once she was taken to the Santa Monica police station, however, she consented to a breath test, which showed her blood alcohol level at 0.12, over the .08 legal limit in California.
A search of her person at the station also revealed cocaine in her pants pocket.
It looks like Lohan will have to face a slew of charges that will probably include possession of cocaine, driving under the influence, transporting a narcotic into a custodial facility and driving with a suspended license.
Lohan's attorney released the following statement: "Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease. Since Lindsay transitioned to outpatient care, she has been monitored on a SCRAM bracelet and tested daily in order to support her sobriety. Throughout this period, I have received timely and accurate reports from the testing companies. Unfortunately, late yesterday I was informed that Lindsay had relapsed. The bracelet has now been removed. She is safe, out of custody and presently receiving medical care."
This latest escapade does not bode well for her well being, wrap sheet or career. The actress was already due in court on Aug. 24 to face other DUI charges after a wild Memorial Day weekend in which she hit another car, an incident that led to her 45-day stay at Malibu's Promises drug treatment facility. She recently exited rehab to much attention and with an alcohol monitoring device on her ankle, which apparently didn't do much good.
On July 27, Lohan's latest film, the thriller "I Know Who Killed Me," will be released.
