Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer and Andy Richter will have some new friends in "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa."

Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Animation have announced that Bernie Mac ("Mr. 3000"), Alec Baldwin ("30 Rock"), Sherri Shepherd ("The View") and Black Eyed Pea Will.i.am will lend their voices to the sequel, which will hit theaters on Nov. 7, 2008.

In the sequel -- directed by Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath -- Alex, Marty, Melman, Gloria, King Julien, Maurice and the penguins and the chimps escape from Madagascar on a refurbished plane, but after a short flight, they find themselves in the vast plains of Africa. Either conveniently or inconveniently, they find themselves in some proximity to Alex's lion family, which is sure to cause some tension.

Mac will play Zuba, Alex's father and head of the pride. This will be a really funny joke since Mac also co-starred in a swimming movie called "Pride," which had absolutely nothing to do with lions.

Baldwin will voice Zuba's rival Makunga. Shepherd is set as Alex's mom, while Will.i.am will be Moto Moto, described as "a watering hole lothario."

In addition to his voice-over duties, Will.i.am will be working with Hans Zimmer on the movie's score.
