Will join Amy Adams in romantic comedy

Matthew Goode is leaping into a new role.

"Watchmen" star Goode will join Amy Adams in the romantic comedy "Leap Year," according to Variety. He'll play an Irish innkeeper enlisted by Adams in a scheme to propose to her boyfriend on Feb. 29. Does anyone doubt the two will find lessons about life and love (with each other, natch) on the way?

Filming begins in March.

Goode, 30, plays superhero Oxymandias in "Watchmen." He also starred in 2008's "Brideshead Revisited."
