Even if her album sales haven't been massive, Katharine McPhee's movie career is in good shape.

The 2006 "American Idol" runner-up has been added to the cast of Anna Faris' untitled Columbia Pictures comedy project.

Adam Sandler's Happy Madison shingle is producing.

Set to be directed by Fred Wolf, the comedy has also added Emma Stone, Rumer Willis, Kat Dennings, Dana Goodman and Sarah Wright.

The film was written by "Legally Blonde" vets Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith and focuses on a former Playboy bunny (Faris) who gets kicked out of the Playboy Mansion and becomes den mother to a particular lame sorority.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, McPhee will play a pregnant hippy in the main sorority, with Stone ("Superbad") as the house president. Willis ("Striptease") plays an insecure girl with a back brace, Dennings ("The 40-Year-Old Virgin") a stereotypical women's studies feminist and Goodman ("Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo") is a major-swapping eternal student.

Wright ("The Loop") appears as a more popular girl from a rival sorority.

The runner-up to Taylor Hicks in the fifth season of FOX's "American Idol," McPhee has become a popular lad mag cover girl and recently booked a lead role in the indie comedy "The Last Caller." This will be her first major studio project.
