'Stardust' reference will come between Robin Hood and Russell Crowe's Sheriff

Sienna Miller is expected to move from "G.I. Joe" to Robin Hood.

According to the industry trade papers, Miller is expected to play Maid Marion in Ridley Scott's "Nottingham."

Set up at Universal, the revisionist Robin Hood tale positions the Sheriff of Nottingham (Russell Crowe) as a noble lawman trying to protect his subjects from a corrupt king, while also dealing with a love triangle involving Marion and a certain tights-wearing swashbuckler.

"Sleeper Cell" creators Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris wrote the original script.

Universal has set "Nottingham" for a Nov. 6, 2009 release.

Miller most recently went dark for a turn as Baroness in Paramount's "G.I. Joe." The "Keen Eddie" star's busy upcoming release schedule includes "Hippie Hippie Shake," "The Edge of Love" and "The Mysteries of Pittsburgh."
