Reality star and rocker welcome Harlow Winter Kate Madden

Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden are the proud parents of a baby girl.

According to People, the "Simple Life" star and the Good Charlotte frontman have named their baby Harlow Winter Kate Madden.

Born Friday (Jan. 11) at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Harlow weighed in at 6 lbs. 7 oz.

After weeks of rumors, Richie confirmed her pregnancy to Diane Sawyer in a series of interviews last August. At the time, the 25-year-old adopted daughter of Lionel Richie had been seeing the 28-year-old Madden for more than six months.

In the interviews, Richie told Sawyer, "I would really want to be someone my child would look up to."

Less than a month after announcing her pregnancy, Richie served 82 minutes of a four-day prison sentence stemming from a Dec. 2006 DUI arrest.

In December, Richie and Madden started the appropriately titled Richie Madden Children's Foundation to help the less fortunate.
