Javier Bardem is in talks to co-star

Welcome to Sarajevo, Orlando Bloom.

The former "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" star and Liam Neeson have signed on to star in an as-yet untitled film based on the book "Fools Rush In," reports Variety.

Based on a book by Bill Carter, the film covers the period of time in which the author worked as an aid worker during the bitter 43-month Balkans war siege in Sarajevo. Oscar winner Javier Bardem is currently in negotiations for a supporting role, while Brazilian director Andrucha Waddington will direct.

Besides acting, Bloom will take a behind-the-scenes role as co-producer.

"I read the script, and the very human story and the very core of this film spoke to me very clearly," says Bloom. "This is a departure from the very big Hollywood productions."

Elliott Lewitt and Julie Kirkham will produce the project which will begin shooting in Sarajevo at the end of 2008.
