Sarah Jessica Parker is in talks to do 'The Ivy Chronicles'

After the success of the "Sex and the City" movie, Warner Bros. wants to stay in business with Sarah Jessica Parker.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Parker is in talks to star in "The Ivy Chronicles" for the studio.

Based on the novel by Karen Quinn, the project focuses on a recently divorced woman who loses her job and has to learn to cope with being merely upper-middle-class as opposed to truly wealthy.

Oh the humanity!

From there, the plot becomes something about helping slightly less rich women get their kids into private kindergardens. It's a universal story.

Jerry Weintraub is producing the project, which is said to be in the same vein as "The Devil Wears Prada" and "The Nanny Diaries."

The "Sex and the City" feature has made more than $300 million worldwide this summer, roughly 30-times the box office returns for Parker's spring film "Smart People."
