Sacha Baron Cohen will follow up the smash success of "Borat" with a high profile musical role, joining the cast of Tim Burton's "Sweeney Todd."

As has been rumored for several weeks online, Cohen will play Signor Adolfo Pirelli, rival to Sweeney Todd (Johnny Depp), the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Todd, of course, teams up with Mrs. Lovett (Helena Bonham Carter) for a plot involving murder and meat pies.

The DreamWorks/Warner Bros. co-production will begin shooting next month, aiming towards a tentative late-2007 release.

In its first two weeks in theaters, Cohen's "Borat" film has taken in more than $67 million domestically. Cohen has already inked a deal to bring a second character from "Da Ali G" show, Austrian fashion reporter Bruno, to the big screen for Universal.

Cohen has also circled acting-only turns in "Curly Oxide and Vic Thrill" and "Dinner for Schmucks."
