Academy Award winner may go killer for Fox Searchlight

Reese Witherspoon is rumored to produce and star in "Nice" -- a film based on a 1998 book about a magazine writer who accidentally kills her boyfriend and finds it's easier to kill boyfriends than break up with them, according to Variety.

Ben Queen, creator and executive producer of the defunct Nathan Fillion show, "Drive," is set to adapt the novel to the big screen for Fox Searchlight.

Witherspoon was in theaters just last month in " Monsters vs. Aliens." The Academy Award winner last donned the producer/star hat in "Penelope."
