Pair have been cast in 'Buffy' creator's horror movie
Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford are the first cast members to sign on to the movie, a bewildering move considering the film is purported to be Whedon's take on the typical "teens in the woods" slasher story. No other casting notes or plot details have been released. Presumably a cabin and some woods will still be central to the film.
Whedon is known for brilliant but short-lived supernatural television series: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
lasted longer, and was followed by "Angel" and the sorely missed "Firefly." His latest, "Dollhouse," premieres Feb. 13. Jenkins could be seen as the put-upon father in last year's "Step Brothers." Whitford is famous for his role on "The West Wing," but also appeared in "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and last year's movie "Bottle Shock."
