'Green Hornet' lead will produce and co-star in 'I'm With Cancer'

Mandate Pictures has picked up the comedy "I'm With Cancer" as a producing vehicle for Seth Rogen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project is based on an autobiographical spec script by Will Reiser. Reiser, a producer on "Da Ali G Show" and "Best Week Ever," was 25 when he was diagnosed with cancer.

The trade says that Rogen and writing-producing partner Evan Goldberg will produce along with Ben Karlin ("The Daily Show With Jon Stewart."

The "Knocked Up" and "Green Hornet" star will also take a supporting role in the film.

This is Rogen and Goldberg's second project set up at Mandate. Earlier this year they agreed to write and produce a feature version of "Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse," with Rogen and Jay Baruchel attached to star.
