Scott Ruffalo's Death: Russian Roulette, Family Reaction
Ruffalo's gunshot wound was reportedly self-inflicted
Actor Mark Ruffalo has finally addressed his brother's tragic death."Mark Ruffalo and his family deeply appreciate the outpouring of prayers and support during this most difficult time of the passing of Scott Ruffalo, beloved son, brother and husband," a rep for the actor said in a statement. "The funeral service will be private."
Scott Ruffalo, 39, died from a gunshot wound to the head Monday night. He was shot inside his Beverly Hills apartment a week before under mysterious circumstances.
Now it appears that Ruffalo died by his own hand playing a game of Russian Roulette, according to TMZ. According to his friend Shaha Mishaal Adham, a 26-year-old Saudi princess who turned herself into Beverly Hills police Monday, she had stopped by his home a week ago to pick up the keys to her Land Rover, which he had borrowed.
While there, he was playing with a gun and shot himself in the head. An unnamed third person was also present. Adham reportedly panicked and fled, calling her boyfriend, Brian Scofield, who then called 911.
Adham was released from police custody Tuesday night.
Ruffalo's family has created a memorial fund in his name. Donations may be sent to:
