Sophie Monk and Benji Madden call it quits

Benji Madden won't be enjoying the same domestic bliss as his twin, Joel Madden.

The Good Charlotte musician and his fiancee, "Date Movie" star Sophie Monk, are no longer a couple, reports People.

"Sophie and Benji have officially split. The decision was mutual and they remain amicable," the actress's Sydney agent, Yoon Kim, told an Australian newspaper. "This will be my only statement regarding this matter."

Monk and Madden, both 28, first met on the set of a Good Charlotte video in 2006. That year, they became engaged over the Christmas holidays.

Madden is the guitarist and backup vocalist for Good Charlotte with his twin brother Joel Madden, who broke up with "Lizzie McGuire" star Hilary Duff in order to date Nicole Richie, with whom he has a newborn daughter. Both brothers made a cameo appearance in Duff's film "Material Girls."

Besides "Date Movie," Monk's other credits include "Click," "London" and the upcoming "Spring Breakdwon." In the TV movie "The Mystery of Natalie Wood," she played Marilyn Monroe, a role she played before when she was an impersonator at Warner Bros. Movie World. In her native land, she's also a pop star with the girl group Bardot.
