The Rock Is 'The Tooth Fairy'
Dwayne Johnson will star in family comedy
According to Variety, Johnson will play the title bicuspid thief in the 20th Century Fox comedy "The Tooth Fairy," which will be directed by Michael Lembeck, the man behind the second and third films in the "Santa Clause" franchise.
The trade says that the plot focuses on an ordinary guy recruited to save the tooth fairy kingdom. We're not sure why, though The Rock does have very nice teeth.
The script was written by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel, plus Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia.
Johnson seems to be enjoying sinking his teeth family friendly projects these days. The former wrestler had a hit with last year's "Game Plan" and will next be seen in the summer comedy "Get Smart." Johnson is currently shooting a remake of "Witch Mountain" for Disney and voicing a main character in the CG-animated "Planet 51."
