With a baby on the way, couple still not in a rush to wed

The next generation of webslingers is on its way.

"Spider-Man" star Tobey Maguire and fiancee Jennifer Meyer are expecting a baby due later this year. Although various tabloids with an eye out for bumps had reported the happy news a month ago, Meyer just recently confirmed the pregnancy to USA Today.

"Let's just say this is truly the best time of my life," says Meyer. "I'm walking on air. I'm getting married, starting a family and have an amazing company."

Meyer's jewelry making endeavors can be seen in husband-to-be's upcoming film "Spider-Man 3," in which Peter Parker (Maguire) gifts Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) with a gold heart-shaped locket. Jennifer Meyer Jewelry has become a hit with Hollywood, with actresses like Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Kidman as fans of the delicate pieces.

She in turn received a piece of jewelry from Maguire in April, when they got engaged. There are no plans regarding the wedding yet. The couple is currently sharing a home in Los Angeles.

Meyer is the daughter of head of Universal, Ron Meyer. It was rumored that Maguire once dated "Spider-Man" co-star Dunst. He was engaged to actress Rashida Jones in 2002.

Maguire last starred in the second installment of the superhero franchise and "Seabistcuit." His upcoming films include Steven Soderbergh's "The Good German," hitting theaters in December and the 2007 release of "Spider-Man 3."
