Actor joins ensemble cast of indie comedy thriller

Like He-Man, Tom Arnold has the power.

The 47-year-old actor has been cast in the indie comedic thriller "Remarkable Power," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In screenwriter-director Brandon Beckner's project, a late-night talk show host is due to be canceled when he thinks of a brilliant scheme to save his show. Unfortunately, the ensemble of Los Angeles locals who get involved are thrust into a situation that leads to murder. Arnold will portay the film's second-rate gumshoe.

He joins a cast that includes Kip Pardue, "Heroes" actress Nora Zehetner, Dule Hill ("Psych," "The West Wing"), Johnny Messner, Bob Sapp, comedian Kevin Nealon and Christopher Titus.

Scott Sampila produces and co-wrote the script with Beckner. Arnold also has executive producer credits on the film.

Arnold's latest credits include "Soul Plane," "Happy Endings" and "The Kid & I." He recently wrapped shooting on "The Great Buck Howard" and "Gardens of the Night." He next appears in the Terrence Howard sports drama "Pride," about a man who creates a swim team for troubled teens.
