"Arrested Development" joins cast of comic-book adaptation
The actor will play a Union soldier who enlists 1860s bounty hunter Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) to track down an evil witch doctor (John Malkovich), according to The Hollywood Reporter. The voodoo angle is nothing new for the DC Comics character, who though based in the Wild West, often came up against supernatural enemies. Thanks to that darker tone, expect Arnett's performance to be less comedic than the bulk of his work.
Shooting begins later in April.
Arnett, 38, recently lent his voice to the animated film "Monsters vs. Aliens."
