Why we're buying a ticket: Frankly, we're not sure we are -- such is the barrier set by the film's star, Mel Gibson. Which is kind of a shame, because we think we might like the offbeat story of a man pulled low by depression who finds his way back via a hand puppet who becomes his alter ego.
