Lohan's latest film, "Labor Pains," has been downgraded from big-screen status to an ABC Family premiere. "The Hangover," meanwhile, has already scored $268 million at the box office worldwide and spurred talk of a sequel.
According to the Us Weekly report, director Todd Phillips approached Lindsay for the "Hangover" role and was told the screenplay had "no potential."
"The agent tried hard to get Phillips to consider her, and when he finally agreed, Lindsay said she didn't like the script," a source told the magazine.
