Morgan Freeman is quickly becoming the go-to guy for comic-book movies.

Freeman is in talks to co-star in "Red" alongside Bruce Willis, according to Variety. The comic book miniseries follows Paul Moses, a retired CIA assassin who is targeted by the agency's new director as a way to cover up Moses' greatest hits.

Does that ever work? Of course Moses comes out of retirement to take down his hunters. Willis will make an effective Moses, and we can see Freeman as CIA director Michael Beesley.

The actor has also starred in comic-book movies " Batman Begins," "The Dark Knight" and " Wanted."

-- Viola Davis may be joining a different kind of literary adaptation: She's in talks to co-star in "Eat, Pray, Love."

Davis would play Delia, best friend to the main character played by Julia Roberts. The movie, based on Elizabeth Gilbert's 2007 memoir "Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia," stars Roberts as the author in search of meaning after a bad divorce.
