'Doom' Director Feeling 'Blue'
The Polish director is in talks to helm the indie thriller "Black and Blue," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film centers on a Boston detective who gets pulled into a drug war between an Irish mob boss and a group of young thugs when he discovers that his own family members are involved.
Bartkowiak was first known for his frequent collaborations as a cinematographer with legendary director Sidney Lumet. The DP moved to directing with the Jet Li film "Romeo Must Die," followed by "Exit Wounds" and "Cradle 2 the Grave."
