Elizabeth Banks will play Laura Bush to Josh Brolin's George W.

While conservatives may have their suspicions about Oliver Stone's motives in doing a George W. Bush biopic, the director has certainly cast some pretty actors at the president and first lady.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stone has picked Elizabeth Banks to play Laura Bush opposite Josh Brolin's George in the untitled film about the life and presidency of our latest commander-in-chief.

Production on the Bush pic will begin in Shreveport, LA in April from a script Stone wrote with Stanley Weiser ("Wall Street").

It's unclear what approach Stone will be taking to the First Couple, but based on casting it appears "younger" and "more attractive" were among the criteria.

Banks just completed shooting on the Kevin Smith comedy "Zack and Miri Make a Porno." Familiar from turns in "Invincible," "Slither" and a guest spot on "Scrubs," Banks was most recently seen in "Fred Claus," "Definitely, Maybe" and CBS' "Comanche Moon."
