Joins Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett and Shia LaBeouf

Oscar winner Jim Broadbent has joined the cast of Steven Spielberg's fourth "Indiana Jones" movie.

According to media reports, Broadbent will play a Yale University professor in the film, already set for a May 22, 2008 release date.

Production on "Indiana Jones and the Quest for Profit" (not the official title) began on Monday (June 18) with Spielberg directing, George Lucas producing and Harrison Ford returning to star.

David Koepp wrote the script, not that anything is known about the plot specifics. In addition to Ford and Broadbent, the cast includes Cate Blanchett, Shia LaBeouf, Ray Winstone and John Hurt.

Broadbent won his Oscar and Golden Globe in 2002 for "Iris." Most recently seen in HBO's "Longford" and in the action comedy "Hot Fuzz," Broadbent's other credits include "Topsy-Turvy," "Moulin Rouge!" and "Little Voice."
