Nicolas Cage Has 'Vanished'
Feature comes from the director of 'Paradise Now'
Variety is reporting that Cage will star in "The Vanished," from "Paradise Now" director Hany Abu-Assad.
Written by Larysa Kondracki and Eilis Kirwan, the project focuses on a father in search of his missing American-born Muslim son.
We're guessing Cage would play the father.
Just last week the trade papers were reporting that Case would star in "The Wrestler," a 1980s period drama from producer Darren Aronofsky. Variety speculates that "The Wrestler" could shoot as early as January, with "The Wrestler" beginning production later in the spring.
In the past year, Cage has had hits with "World Trade Center" and "Ghost Rider," while finding less success with "The Wicker Man" and "Next." The actor will next be seen in "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," with "Bangkok Dangerous" also in the can.
