Actor joins Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman in dark comedy

Cary Elwes, who last appeared in the CBS miniseries "Pope John Paul II," will be taking a decidedly less holy turn for his next project.

The actor has joined the all-star cast of the Garry Marshall-directed dark comedy "Georgia Rule" opposite Lindsay Lohan and Felicity Huffman.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elwes is married to Huffman's character and is a model citizen, except for his nasty habit of molesting his stepdaughter (Lohan). The rebellious young woman is then sent to spend the summer with her grandmother (Jane Fonda).

Other recent additions to the cast include Dermot Mulroney and Garrett Hedlund.

Elwes, 43, is best known as Westley/the Dread Pirate Roberts in "The Princess Bride." His other credits include "Robin Hood: Men in Tights," "Twister," "Liar Liar," "Shadow of the Vampire," "Saw," "Ella Enchanted" and the upcoming "Factory Girl" opposite Sienna Miller and Hayden Christensen.
