Will play evildoers in comic-book adaptation

"Scott Pilgrim" has two more obstacles on his path to love.

Chris Evans and Brandon Routh have signed on to play evil ex-boyfriends standing between our hero and true love in "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World." According to The Hollywood Reporter, Evans will play a skater-turned-movie star and Routh will take on the role of a psychic rock star. In the source material, Pilgrim must take on his new girlfriend Ramona Flowers' seven super-powered ex-boyfriends.

"Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" star Michael Cera has already signed on to play Pilgrim, while Mary Elizabeth Winstead will win his heart as Flowers. "Shaun of the Dead" director Edgar Wright will helm.

Both actors are familiar with taking on comic-book roles: Routh, 29, played the title role in "Superman Returns" and Evans heated up the screen as Johnny "The Human Torch" Storm in the "Fantastic Four" movies.
