Jon Stewart will produce

Paramount Pictures has snagged a pitch for "The Donor," a comedy designed as a starring vehicle for Rob Corddry.

According to the industry trade papers, Corddry, a veteran correspondent on "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart," will appear in the project and will also co-write with Brian Huskey and Jason Mantzoukas.

Corddry also developed the basic concept -- which nobody seems to want to discuss -- along with Stewart and Ben Karlin.

"Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story," Corddry's first real starring vehicle, is now out on DVD. The comic has done supporting duties on "Old School" and "Failure to Launch," in addition to upcoming roles in "Unaccompanied Minors" (starring fellow "Daily Show" vet Lewis Black) and "Blades of Glory."

Following a path similar to "Daily Show" alum-turned-TV/movie-star Steve Carell, Corddry is complimenting his building film career with "The Winner," a midseason comedy for FOX.
